Al got involved in video by jumping in at the deep usual. He organised a six camera shoot for Oysterband's '25th Anniversary Concert' at The Forum in London, got a copy of Final Cut Pro, and over the next 3 months learnt how to edit, create special effects and author DVDs. A year after the show itself the 2 hour DVD was in the shops and the distributors wanted an NTSC version to release in North America. Since then Al's made a DVD for the Levellers, a short film for charity, a handful of music videos and is now planning a Pilates' workout DVD.

Sound To Picture

Al recently won an award for his work on a DVD for the new Royal Alexander Childrens' Hospital. This involved location sound recording, working with Stomp on their involvement with the film and mixing the final soundtrack. He's also won awards for his work with Terrier TV and Addenbrooke's Hospital. Other sound to picture clients include Disney TV, Hullabaloo Choir, Oysterband, Channel 4, and the BBC.
